The Polk PSW111 compact powered subwoofer features an 8" composite woofer that packs a punch larger than its size would suggest - delivering powerful, accurate and musical bass at an affordable price. Specially-tuned, downward-firing port produces maximum bass impact and keeps the cabinet's front profile as sleek as possible. Heavy-duty MDF construction ensures perfect volume and distortion-free low frequencies while eliminating internal standing waves and performance-robbing resonances.

By using a state-of-the-art Klippel Distortion Analyzer, Polk engineers were able to optimize the woofer's motor structure, voice coil alignment and suspension bringing you the best possible performance even at extreme listening levels. Smart circuitry, superior compression and an intelligent amplifier deliver highly efficient bass with low distortion and enhanced blending.
When it comes to subwoofers, build quality is everything. The acoustically-inert, furniture-grade MDF cabinet construction reduces resonance and distortion, so you get rich, detailed audio the way it's meant to be heard-minus the muffled noise and rattled disruption inherent in low-quality, lesser-than audio equipment.
Specially tuned, downward-firing ports produce maximum bass impact and keep the cabinet's front profile as sleek as possible. Presented in a softly rounded cabinet with a nicely finished cloth grille, the PSW111 blends seamlessly into any home environment, no matter where you listen.
On the rear panel, you'll find an impressive range of connections that allow the PSW111 to play nicely with any amp + speaker configuration. As you'd expect, the LFE/Line-In connections will hook up to the Sub Out or Pre-Out of your receiver/amplifier. If your amp doesn't have these output connections, take advantage of the PSW111's high-level speaker in/out terminals to connect the sub via your front-channel speaker path.
With the PSW111 in the middle of your amp and speakers, the sub picks up the tonal qualities of your processing chain and handles the low-frequency crossover before passing the signal through to your stereo loudspeakers. Your stereo or surround system will come to life as the subwoofer blends seamlessly with the speakers.
